Nine science centers representing communities from across North America have agreed to join the first Center for Science Planning Conference on October 1st and 2nd. CEOs and executives from these institutions are coming together to discuss the feasibility of increased collaboration and developing an international model that could eventually include science centers from around the globe.
The Saint Louis Science Center is organizing the conference and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago has agreed to serve as host. Also joining the group of executives will be representatives of Boeing, GE Energy and National Geographic.
The group will also discuss ideas for the first national initiative on the topic of energy and how the group can collectively have greater impact - globally and in their respective communities.
